Artist of the Month for August, 2018:

alanwilliams

By a wide margin, Renderosity members vote alanwilliams as the August, 2018, Artist of the Month. Alan's speciality is nature photography although he turns his camera eye to many subjects. His skill is obvious, but what's particularly appealing is his sense of poetry in nature. Look through his gallery and you'll see someone snapping pictures of the truly beautiful in nature. We need artists like alanwilliams to remind us that nature and its inhabitants are to be loved and admired.

alanwilliams was kind enough to take time out of his schedule to chat with us about his work and goals as an artist. I want to thank him for putting this interview together.

Be sure to watch the video gallery of 12 of alanwilliams's gallery works. And if you have the time stop by his gallery which will definitely spook you!

As a photographer myself, I've often tried to figure out how I pick a shot amongst the dozens I'll shoot in a session. I've come to the conclusion that it's just instinct: I choose a shot that appeals to me. How is it with you? Do you have a method for choosing a specific photograph among many?

alanwilliams: That's a tricky one. Instinct based on lighting, exposure, composition, allied to experience i suppose.
