Interview with Santuziy78
Renderosity: What is your background? Tell us about yourself?
Santuziy78 I was born and I live in Russia. Worked at the plant as the software engineer of CNC machines till 2018. Working as the engineer I began to be fond of animation and 3D modeling. Since 2018, I decided that I want to do only 3D modeling. Now this is my main job - creating digital content for Poser and Daz Studio.
How did you get into digital asset creation? What led you to Renderosity?
Santuziy78 About 10 years ago I became interested in 3D animation and modeling. I needed a program where I could quickly and easily learn how to make animation. Poser has become a program that is perfect for this. 3D modeling was my hobby. Once I saw that 3D models can be sold on the Internet and I wanted to try. In 2010 I became a vendor on the Renderosity.
You have such a great sense of style and detail on all of your creations. what are your goals when you set out on a project?
Santuziy78 I try to do so that my projects can be used in different directions. To create comics, animations or artistic images. They should be not only beautiful, but also practical, useful and easy to use. My goal is to make work in Poser and Daz Studio easy, fast and interesting for everyone. Not only for beginners, but also for experienced artists.
Although you've got some knock out characters in your store, I'm really taken by your most recent work "STZ Poker Night". Can you tell us how this character/scene came about?
Santuziy78 I have long wanted to do something related to a poker game, but I couldn’t decide what the interior should be like. I put off this project several times. When the interior was ready, I realized that for promotional images I need at least 3 characters. The new character is a great merit of another vendor :) I like the female characters that makes the vendor Maddelirium. I've used two female characters in my promos before. For the last job I needed a third character and I chose "MDD Carley". She was perfect for this scene. :) I realized this when I started making the first promo images.
Posing is also something you have a real talent for: Can you share some techniques for our readers?
Santuziy78 I use photos and drawings to create a pose. It helps to make poses for human figures real as in life. Most of all I pay attention to posing hands and feet. It is these parts of the figure that give naturalness to the pose. When I do a set of poses, I look at the figure from different angles. The pose should look good from any angle.
What is your advice for artists just setting out to be a vendort at Renderosity?
Santuziy78 See what is in demand. Think about what you would be interested in creating. Work should be fun. Make quality products. If the products are quality buyers are sure to notice them.
Any last comments you'd like to make before we close?
