Dealing with nudity/violence in thumbnails

TOS Violations - thumbnails

Thumbnail TOS violations are processed in the same manner as gallery image TOS violations.

1. Create a new thread in the Coordinator forum and title it, [Member name] Thumbnail TOS violation

2. Select the thumbnail by right clicking on the thumbnail in the gallery, then click on 'copy image location'. Paste this into the thread.

3. State why you feel the thumbnail needs replacing, e.g. Nudity present in the thumbnail.

4. Check for any previous issues from this member. Cut and paste the member record into the thread.

5. Take no further action for 24 hours, unless directed by Admin, to allow Staff to provide feedback/vote. (Staff is defined as, Admin/Moderators/Coordinators). There are occasionally extended discussions that may exceed the 24-hour period. Take no action until there is a clear consensus as to the proper course of action to take. Admin can override a vote based on policy guidelines.

6. If the thumbnail is adjudicated by the majority to be acceptable, take no further action.

7. If the thumbnail is adjudicated by the majority as a TOS violation, compose a sitemail to the member using the following example:

8. [username] The thumbnail on the image [image name] has been reviewed by staff and determined to violate the Renderosity TOS and has been removed. Please review the terms of service or contact a Moderator in the future if you are unsure if a thumbnail is acceptable. No further action is required on your part.

9. Update the members record on the Member Management Page.

10. Procedure to remove a thumbnail:

11. While viewing the image, click on 'edit image'.

12. Uncheck the block 'Keep current thumb?"

13. At the bottom of the page, check the block 'I certify that this artwork is my property and abides by the site's terms of service on violence and nudity.'

14. Click 'Save Changes'.

15. The system will autogenerate a new thumbnail.

16. You may need to do a hard refresh (ctrl+F5) before you see the new thumbnail in the gallery.
