STZ Good Morning 2

Interview with July Vendor of the Month - santuziy78.

Tell us about yourself - who is santuziy78?

santuziy78: I'm 39 years old. I'm from Russia. Married and I have a wonderful wife and daughter. I love sports, read books and watch a lot of movies. I'm fond of 3D animation.

How did you get started as a vendor at Renderosity how do you decide what to create and sell in your store?

santuziy78: 3D modeling was my hobby. Once I saw that 3D models can be sold on the Internet and I wanted to try. I like to create interiors. And I also create sets of poses for these interiors, but sometimes I try to create something else. For example, clothes or transportation.

What is a typical workflow on one of your projects?

santuziy78: For my work I use Photoshop CS2 and blender as well as some other small software that make it easier for me to work.

The workflow begins with the fact that I turn on the music :) I do not like to work in silence. First I imagine what I want to do, and then I start modeling. Then I start creating textures. For each props I do test renders with different lighting. If I like the result, I save the model and create textures for the next props.

What are you working on now?

santuziy78: I have many unfinished projects. I can do one project, then leave it and start making a new one. Now I'm doing a new interior and I'm planning to release 2 more sets of poses for him.

Any advice for a young artist who wants to start selling at Renderosity?

santuziy78: Take time to promo images. A good product with bad promo images will go unnoticed. Do not be discouraged if something does not work out. Just enjoy your work. Success will come necessarily.
