Poser 12 and Cycles. Poser 12 has introduced a new build of Cycles for Superfly rendering with its main attraction being the PrincipledBSDF node. This node is best used connected to the Surface of the Cycles Surface root node.

- SIGGRAPH Asia 2020 Virtual Concludes on a High Note. The very first virtual edition of SIGGRAPH Asia concluded its week-long gathering of the global computer graphics community, with over 1,500 attendees tuning in to the on-demand and live sessions from over 38 countries and regions. Although the live event is over, registration remains open, and all content is available on-demand to participants till March 2021.

As an eventful year comes to an eventful end, our plucky team of developers is busy making much requested improvements to the Amazon Lumberyard engine with an aim to tighten up usability with optimized workflows throughout the user interface, support for new and improved physics features, and even more customization options for developers on major platforms. This week on POLYCOSM we're going to check out some major new features in Simply Cloth, namely the new template library and the new "merge by distance" option which allows you to merge sewing gaps when sewing cloth patterns together. I also demonstrate how to use the amazing new "Simply MicroMesh" Blender add-on to for example add scales or spikes to some armour, create some chainmail and also create some custom-designed tileable meshes super quickly.
