Renderosity and HiveWire3D have partnered to create the world's foremost destination for Poser and DAZ Studio content.
A few months ago, HiveWire creator Christopher Creek and Renderosity Marketplace Manager Jenn Blake began discussions to bring HiveWire's contributing artists to Renderosity's Marketplace.
"Renderosity was the perfect collaborator for HiveWire's contributing artists," Blake said. "We were happy to welcome them into our community."
Over the past few months, Renderosity has worked to upload more than 550 products from 37 HiveWire contributing artists.
"We are very much looking forward to a mutually beneficial relationship with our new publishing partner Renderosity. Jennifer Blake has been very helpful, accommodating, and gracious to us. We thank you, Jenn and also your team, for welcoming us with open arms and capable helping hands," Creek said.
Some of those artists include Ken Gilliland, Laurie Prindle, Ken K. and others, in addition to Lisa's Botanicals and HiveWire3D's products.
"Our artists are also finding success in getting their products on the Rendo store," Creek said.
Creek, the creator of Victoria and Michael, and an original founder of DAZ 3D, wanted to create a home for all things digital content whether it was for Poser, DAZ Studio, or any other 3D art program. Creek is still committed to development of 3d art. Creek emphasized HiveWire wasn't just another webstore, but rather a destination where everyone—new or experienced—could come to share, shop, and sell digital content. And while its marketplace has migrated, the hive still swarms with forums and community for the hobbyist or professional digital artist.
"Our HiveWire forum remains open, and we are happy to have it continue as a place for artists to share ideas, artwork, and support of HiveWire products and ancillary items," Creek said.
And Creek is continuing to support 3d art with development of new products and its core figures.
"HiveWire continues development of our core figures with several support products as well. Dawn 2, and Dusk 2 are moving along nicely. Dawn 2 is very close to final beta with a robust rig including facial rigging developed by our very capable Paul Lessard. Artists such as MEC4D and Ken K. are beginning to develop for Dawn2 and Dusk 2, and very shortly we will be in a position to open up development to a much wider pool of artists if they are interested," Creek said.
