Carrara has been a popular 3D application since it's initial release in 1991. The RDS stands for the company that released it: Ray Dream Studio. Originally a Mac-based application it was eventally purchased by Daz and is now available for PC and Mac. Renderosity members still use this program to create interesting scenes and characters. The Carrara/RDS gallery features excellent work by artists like Stuie and ibm386 to name a few.
