Our weekly news video covers Renderosity.com news along with hand-picked Digital Arts news from Renderosity Magazine. Computer graphics, digital art and much more.

Renderosity.com News

  • Our Gallery of the Week is the Fractal Gallery. One of our favorite galleries, the Fractal gallery has over 160,000 fractals created by talented Renderosity artists. We’ve chosen 10 works from the Fractal Gallery to feature in this week's Gallery of the Week.

  • Renderosity members have voted gmlab as our Artist of the Month for March. Also, ShaaraMuse3D has been chosen as our Vendor of the Month for March. Take some time to visit their respective gallery and store. And congratulations to gmlab and ShaaraMuse3D!

  • Poser Pulse footwear sale. This week the Pulse presents not one, not two but three footwear items for L’Homme. Now L’Homme can put his best foot forward in the city, the country, or on a snowy mountain. Get all three at a 50% discount until Wednesday, March 9th, 9:59 am (CST).

  • Renderosity Magazine Weekly Art Challenge by Nick Charles. This will be a weekly challenge appearing every Wednesday, in which I provide a prompt of sorts, whether a theme, word, or idea. There are no strict guidelines, and any tools or methods are acceptable. You can use any software you wish, or use traditional means. There are no limits to where the prompt might lead you. This week’s challenge - Smooth.

  • Plask - free AI mocap service & Blender workflow. I recently stumbled upon Plask, a free AI motion capture solution. AI mocap software attempts to produce 3d skeletal animation from video footage. The currently available solutions are either pricy or difficult to use. Plask is free (at least at this time), easy to use, and produces good results.

  • AI-generated voices with Voicealizer by nemirc. Some time ago I wrote about text-to-speech generators. I tried two text-to-speech services and, while they produced decent results, they are more suited for corporate videos where you don’t need a lot of expressiveness from your voice. A few days ago, I ran into another of these apps called Voicealizer.

Nick Charles' Weekly Challenge. Check every Wednesday
