Jun 17, 2022 at 02:00 pm by gToon

Our Renderosity Vendor of the Month for June 2022 is Nirvy. She has been a Renderosity member since 2003 and has over 1,400 followers. Nirvy has a real talent for creating alluring 3D figure assets. She has over 600 well-crafted creations in her Renderosity store. Her clothing creations in particular are eye-catching and very popular with Renderosity members.

Nirvy has won the Vendor of the Month several times, so we’ve collected the best of her interviews and shared them with you below. We also have a video gallery featuring 10 items from her Renderosity store. There is a special sale going on right now where Nirvy’s inventory will be available at a good discount. Renderosity: Tell our readers about your background: how did you get involved in creating digital art?

Nirvy: By accident actually. In 2003 I thought a friend of mine would like Poser when I saw it on the web. He didn't but it got me interested so with the help of an artist friend I learned and I've been hooked on digital art ever since.

What is the typical workflow on one of your store offerings?

Nirvy: I model in Marvelous Designer, take the model into Modo to change, adjust or fix whatever is required.
I check that the model fits my figures properly in DAZ Studio then I use UV layout to make the uv maps but doing this I need to keep in mind dforce and my "like alive" morphs because the editing of the uvs will need to be specific for my windy and/or 1CBS morphs to work properly.

At this point I go into DS and start optimizing the FBMs and PBMs of my model and save them. Next step is making the to floor, hang, 1CBS and/or windy morphs and test which surface preset suits them best when simulated.

I also create all the necessary Dynamic adjustment and movement morphs in ZBrush. This can take from days to weeks.

A lot of testing follows and then the textures, MAT Presets and after that the packaging begins and the promotional images. It's a pretty long process to finish a "like alive" product but I enjoy doing it.
What are you working on now?

Nirvy: I'm working on a "Like Alive" set that I hope to have ready soon. I won't go into details to keep the surprise but it's pretty original so I hope my customers like it as much as I do.

What projects are you planning for the future?

Nirvy: Last year I added a new Fashion line to my products: "Off the rack" and I hope to make more for this line. It has less morphs but is more simple for customers to use and a lower price.

Do you have any favorites among your works?

Nirvy: That's a hard question. I still think the most beautiful dress I've made is Brilliance but I would add Secret Glance. The dress I absolutely love but also the original panty that goes along with the dress. The Chintzy series, La Soiree', Frenchy Vibes are among my favorites but all my models have a part of me in them so it's hard to actually choose.

How has Renderosity made a difference in your work as an artist?

Nirvy: Renderosity has made a huge difference. This is where I started as an artist and as a vendor in 2003. A lot of great people around here and amazing artists. Many have helped me and inspired me throughout the years.

Any words of advice for those considering selling at Renderosity?

Nirvy: This is the place to sell! I've been here 19 years. I've had stores elsewhere but IMO Renderosity is the best place to sell at. The whole Team is fantastic and extremely helpful. It's like being part of a huge family.
