DreamWorks Will Release Its MoonRay Renderer as Open Source. The ray tracing renderer was used on the animated features The Bad Guys and the upcoming Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. The program will be available to the public later this year. MoonRay is a high-performance Monte Carlo ray tracer capable of photorealistic and stylized rendering.
