-AppleJack- has kindly taken the time to answer some of our questions below.
What got you interested in creating 3D content?
"I think that every person once has a desire to express themselves in creativity. Someone finds himself in poetry and prose, someone in music and so on. I liked 3D graphics the most. And I met 3D quite by accident. I think it was Bryce program. Something began to turn out and then I began to dive deeper into 3D, began to model something and felt that I really liked it and that I could express something of my own using 3D tools. "
What inspires you to create your products?
"It is very difficult to point out something specific. It can be anything - one's own mood, a book read or a movie watched... But in any case, everything is based on the desire to express one's "I"."
What applications do you use for content creation?
"I
have tried many programs, but now I use Moi 3D for modeling. It is a
very simple and very convenient program. Kind of a very light version of
the Rhino. I also use Hexagon for polygonal modeling. For texturing I
use Substance Painter. And of course, to create the final product I use
Poser. I also use Daz Studio, but mainly for rendering using Nvidia Iray
and creating materials presets for Daz Studio."
You've been using Poser for many years. What are some new features that you particularly enjoy?
"I'm creating mostly environments and props for Poser. I don't make clothes, characters or hair, so I can't judge Poser's new features from that perspective. But the fact that, starting from version 11, Poser began to use all the capabilities of the video cards and rendering based on the use of CUDA cores, this is a big step. I also like the fact that the new versions of Poser have the ability to create emissive materials."
Can you give us a hint of what to expect in the future?
"This is the hardest question! As they say, if you want to make God laugh, tell him about your plans for the future. 😀
In fact, from my point of view, the era of artificial intelligence may come in the near future. And the challenge for humanity will be to walk the very thin line between the possibilities of using artificial intelligence and the limitations that will protect humanity from the dangers that also lie in artificial intelligence. In addition, there is still a danger that humanity may begin to rely too much on artificial intelligence, while losing the desire for their own creativity."
