Congratulations go to Renderosity’s Rising Star! for March, 2025, Moongentleman, who lives in South Korea and has been a member less than a year.

He grew up with a love of drawing and chose that as his major in college. After graduation, he took a job at a civil engineering company and after a while there, decided he should follow his heart and do what he wanted to do. His love of games began his path to 3D graphics and modeling.

“I think I was able to get here because I met a good teacher,” he said.

Now, he’s mainly making costumes, but if he gets the chance, he would like to make environments or props.

He shared with us his progress as a creator.

Q&A

What are the programs you first used while learning to create 3D graphics, and what are your favorite programs or tools now for work?

The first tool I learned was Zbrush. Now, I like Marvelous Designer the most.

What is your typical workflow for a design?

The work process involves creating basic costumes using Marvelous Designer, creating detailed designs in ZBrush, working on low topology, UV mapping in 3ds Max, baking using Marmoset, and coloring using Substance Painter and Photoshop. The work is then completed in Daz3D.

What are your favorite projects to create and what has been the most successful for you?

I liked playing games, and naturally I became interested in 3D modeling. So far, I don't have any projects that I can call successful. I'm learning and growing now, so I want to continue to do better work in the future.

Are there other artists that influence your work or have mentored you?

My academy teacher was very helpful. He is a 3D modeler who created the game Lost Ark as a representative work and now teaches many students.

How did you make the decision to become a vendor at Renderosity?

I first came across Daz3D through a friend and to be honest, Daz3D is not well known in Korea. That's why I thought it could be an opportunity and chose this site.

How has Renderosity made a difference or helped in your growth as a vendor?

Renderosity has helped me a lot. I'm still inexperienced with Daz3D, but I'm learning hard with good feedback.

What are some products you want to create in the near future and what goals do you have in mind as a vendor?

I want to create various costumes, props, and environments, and if I get the chance, I want to learn CC4 and try character design.

Any last thoughts or comments for the community?

Thank you for your understanding despite my lack of skills. I will continue to learn and grow in the future, and I want to respond with good 3D modeling.
