Renderosity Convention Commemorative Poster Contest
Our wonderful friends at Premier Printing, LLC., the folks who print our Renderosity magazine, would like to celebrate our First Annual Renderosity Convention with us and will be printing up Commemorative Convention Posters, to be given away at Dragon*Con.
This is your chance to have your artwork professionally printed and seen by thousands of people from all over the world!
The theme for the poster is anything in the Science-Fiction, Fantasy, Horror, or Space Art category (in keeping with Dragon*Con's stated genres). No Fan Art Please... you must use original characters. So, go ahead and dust off your mouse and get to work creating that piece of art that will become part of history!
Contest begins July 10th, ends August 10th 2002. Winners will be announced on August 15th, 2002.
Winners will be judged by Premier Printing Staff ONLY and their word is final. This contest is open to ALL Renderosity Members, including Admins and Moderators since none of the staff will have anything to do with the selection of winners.
Grand prize: Artwork will be used in Commemmorative Poster, 8 Runners Up will also be selected to appear on additional postcard sized commemmorative cards to be printed up at the same time.
Contest Rules:
- Contest theme Science-Fiction, Fantasy, Horror, or Space Art. Pretty open hey!?
- No Fan Art Please... you must use original characters.
- Image entry size must be 600 x 913 (winner will need to supply a larger, 3450 x 5250 pixel image for printing)
- Image will include a 1/2 inch bleed all the way around. This means that while the final poster size will be 11x17 inches, there will be 1/2 inch all the way around to allow for final trim. Click here to download a template if you are unsure of what this means. The grey area in this template is the "bleed" and will be cut off in the finished poster.
- Image submitted for contest voting in jpg or gif format online,
- Everyone INCLUDING Renderosity Admins, Moderators and Magazine Staff can participate
- Image must not be previously posted online, in your gallery, or anywhere else publicly.
- Image must not appear online anywhere else until August 25th, 2002
- Tasteful Nudity (image may contain artistic nudity but no genital contact with objects other than clothing. Absolutely no sexually explicit or pornographic material will be accepted -- entry images may be disqualified by Premier Printing staff and soley at their discretion. Please do not abuse this artistic license.)
- Horror images may NOT include torture or rape of living or dead creatures or 'things.' (Again, images found violating this rule will be disqualified at the discretion of Premier Printing Staff.)
- Only one image per person allowed -- even if that person has multiple Renderosity Accounts.
- Post work is allowed - Any software can be used.
- By uploading your image your are agreeing that this is your original works. Also, by uploading your entry you are certifying that all models used in the image are free from print and publication restrictions (winners will be asked to sign a statement)
- By uploading your image you are giving permission to Renderosity and Premier Printing, LLC, for the use of the uploaded images for an undetermined period of time. The Artist will remain the intellectual property holder.
