Halloween Contest 2014

The year's theme: "Something Wicked this Way Comes"

A mysterious car rounds the corner at the end of your block. As it makes its way past your house while your sending your children out for a night of trick or treating it slows its pace to a crawl. Who is it? What is it? All of your concentration is directed towards this 'figure' but you just can't seem to make sense of what you're seeing. You begin to question whether your children should be sent out in search of candy while this 'thing' is among you. It's going to be long night. Leave the lights on and hold your loved ones close for something wicked this way comes!

We also have included a Halloween themed sale going until October 18th to assist you in your creation.

Start: Thursday, September 11, 2014 End: Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 10:00am [CDT] (Renderosity Server Time)
Community Voting: October 17-29, 2014
Winners announced: Friday, October 31, 2014
Entries MUST be time-stamped by October 16, 2014 9:59am [CDT], or they will not be accepted 1 entry per person, per category
Entries MUST be new artwork not previously posted online, or anywhere else publicly
Entries MUST NOT appear online anywhere else during the contest or until the Contest Winners have been posted
1 prize package per person across all Halloween Contest categories
Winner's Announcement will be posted on the Renderosity FrontPage and this official contest page

Entry Specifications

Image size must be a maximum of 2000x2000 pixels in .jpeg or .gif format.[72 dpi]
Thumbnail image must be included 100x100pixels in .jpeg or .gif format.
Both the full-size image and the thumbnail are required Entries (entrants can enter, but not with the same entry image that previously won)
Must not have previously won a Renderosity Contest
All images must comply with Renderosity's Terms of Service for thumbnails
No Nudity is allowed on thumbnail and full image
All entries will remain anonymous
You cannot sign your real name nor Renderosity username on your image or in the description. Any signed images, will not be accepted.
You MUST include a description in the blank field to tell what type of software you used, what inspired you, how long it took to create the image.
You may also include anything else about the image you wish to share.
Images without a description will not be approved and will be asked to re-upload with the description included.
Images that do not follow the contest rules or our Terms of Service will be removed.
Vote soliciting will not be tolerated. Entrants that solicit votes will be disqualified without warning. This includes, but is not limited to, emailing and site-mailing members.
We recommend not waiting until the end of the contest to upload your entry. It is common for upload and/or approval complications to arise.
Corrections will NOT be accepted if they are not time stamped by October 16, 2014 9:59am(CDT). Please give yourself ample time to correct your entry, if need be.
By uploading your image, you are agreeing that this is your original work.

Additional Specifications for Animation Files:

Renderosity will be hosting the files.
Audio is optional, but desirable. (NOTE: Do NOT use someone else's copyrighted music.)
Animation File Size: 15 meg maximum.
Animation Time: Entry should not exceed 60 seconds in duration.

Animation formats: DivX, .avi, .mpg, .wmv, or standard .mov.

Community Voting

The winners will be selected by the community
All clone votes will be removed

All prize winners must supply Renderosity with their real name, email address, and mailing address for prize distribution and registration.

By entering this contest, you agree that all submission may be used by Renderosity for promotional purposes: online, digital, in print, on CD, or in any other medium. By submitting your entry into this contest you are granting Renderosity the right to retain your entry in it's archive and to display the entry within this community to promote Renderosity or future contests held.
