2015 Halloween Contest :: Animation Category

As the Summer season nears its end and the cool breezes of fall start to creep in - it can mean only one thing...Renderosity's annual Halloween Creative Contest is soon to begin! It's time to put on your artistic thinking caps and begin thinking of your entry that will become the envy of all your peers here at Renderosity.

This year's theme is: Terrifying Monsters

There's no telling what's hiding behind your closet door or what lies in wait beneath your bed. They know our daily routines and are familiar with those we love. These terrifying monsters are all around us and it's up to us to have the strength and courage to realize they're only a figment of our imaginations - or are they?

General Contest Rules:

All Renderosity members are eligible to enter with the exception of Contest Managers and Admins.
Any software program can be used.
Submissions will be open beginning on Monday, September 14th and will end at 10am (cdt) on Friday, October 16th.
Community voting will begin on Monday, October 19th and will close at 10am (cdt) on Thursday, October 29th.
Winners will be announced on Saturday, October 31st.
Entries MUST be time-stamped by Friday, October 16, 2015 9:59am (cdt), or they will not be accepted. Only one (1) entry per person, per category.
Entries MUST be new artwork not previously posted online, or anywhere else publicly.
Entries MUST NOT appear online anywhere else during the contest or until the Contest Winners have been posted.
For those members who submit an entry to two or more categories, only one (1) prize package is available per person across all Halloween Contest categories.
Winner's Announcement will be posted in the Renderosity News Section and this official contest page.

Entry Specifications:

Image size must be a maximum of 1200 pixels x 1200 pixels in .jpeg or .gif format (72 dpi).
Thumbnail image must be maximum of 300 pixels (wide) x 350 pixels (height) in .jpeg or .gif format (72 dpi).
Both the full-size image and the thumbnail are required to enter.
Entries of previously winning submissions will not be accepted.
All images must comply with Renderosity's Terms of Service for thumbnails.
No Nudity is allowed on the thumbnail and/or full image.
All entries will remain anonymous.
You cannot sign your real name, nor Renderosity username, on your image or in the description. Any signed images, will not be accepted.
You MUST include a description in the blank field to tell what type of software you used, what inspired you and how long it took to create the image.
You may also include anything else about the image you wish to share.
Images without a description will not be approved and will be asked to re-upload with the description included.
Images that do not follow the contest rules or our Terms of Service will be removed.
Vote soliciting will not be tolerated. Entrants that solicit votes will be disqualified without warning. This includes, but is not limited to, emailing and site-mailing members.
We recommend not waiting until the end of the contest to upload your entry. It is common for upload and/or approval complications to arise.
Corrections will NOT be accepted if they are not time stamped by 9:59am (cdt) on Friday, October 16 2015. Please give yourself ample time to correct your entry if need be.
By uploading your image, you are agreeing that this is your original work.

Additional Specifications for Animation files:
Renderosity will be hosting the files.
Audio is optional but desirable. (NOTE: Do NOT use someone else's copyrighted music).
Animation File Size: 50 MB maximum.
Animation Time: Entry should not exceed 60 seconds in duration.
Animation formats: DivX, .avi, .mpg, .wmv, or standard .mov.

Community Voting:

The winners will be selected by the community.
All clone votes will be removed.

Additional Information:

All prize winners must supply Renderosity with their real name, email address and mailing address for prize distribution and registration.

By entering this contest, you agree that your submission(s) may be used by Renderosity for promotional purposes. This may include; online, digital, print, on CD or in any other medium. By submitting your entry into this contest you are granting Renderosity the right to retain your entry in its archive and to display the entry within this community to promote Renderosity and/or future contests held.

By submitting this form, you agree that you are authorized to grant Renderosity the permission to use of your image in print advertising, promotions or website usage. The Artist will remain the intellectual property holder of their images.
