Remember the times when toys were your only concern in life? When you thought that they were actually living creatures? Well these times are back!

For this contest we will ask you to model original toys and bring them to life. With the help of Maxon's Cinema 4D, show us what they do when kids are sleeping, when the store closes or when they are trashed away...

You can inspire yourself from an existing brand of toys but you have to model original ones. The scene must take place in a realistic environment and the modeled toys should be plausible (a toy manufacturer should be able to build them).

1. The contest opens for entries on May 1, 2003 and closes on May 31, 2003 - 12:00 (18:00 GMT). Entries MUST be uploaded before then, no exceptions.

2. This contest is open to all Renderosity Cinema 4D artists. The Renderosity Team (administrators, moderators, marketplace staff and magazine staff) and persons affiliated with the corporate sponsors are not permitted to participate to this contest.

3. Only one entry per participant is allowed. In cases of multiple entries through clone member accounts, all entries in question will be disqualified.

4. The submitted image must be an original work created by the contest entrant. Image must not be previously posted online, in your gallery or anywhere else.

5. Images must not exceed a resolution of 1000 x 1000 pixels and a file size of 300 KB. Thumbnails must be of a 100 x 100 pixels resolution and not exceed 15 KB. Images must be in JPEG (.jpg) format only.

6. This is a Cinema 4D 3D modeling contest. No meshes generated and imported from other programs will be admissible. Every elements of the 3D scene must be modeled by the contest entrant with Cinema 4D (all versions) during the contest period.

7. Except for minor image filtering (saturation, contrast, sharpness, etc...) post work is not permitted at all.

8. The contest manager reserve the right to request a wireframe screen capture or the final Cinema 4D file for comparison to the submitted image.

9. Judging will be carried out by a panel comprising of representatives from each of this contest's corporate sponsors and the Renderosity Team. Winners to be announced on June 10, 2003.

10. Artists grant permission to Renderosity for the use of submitted images for an undetermined period of time. This is strictly for posting the image on the front page and within the contest archives. The Artist will remain the intellectual property holder.

By entering this contest, I agree to all of the above guidelines and rules. I understand that the contest manager has the right to accept or decline any submitted images, based on these guidelines and rules. Any entry which falls outside these rules or the given theme will be ineligible.
