July Poser Forum Challenge "The Heat Is On"

Challenge Theme:

Images should be associated with some sort of activity that represents summer.The goal is to have the viewer feel they are there in the image so any 2D scene can be used as long as it is a photograph, no rendered image for the background.The main idea is to see how well the artist can blend and meld poser into a background and make it look like one image.The lighting etc has to match. Postwork will definitely be allowed on this one.

"By entering the challenge I confirm that the photograph used is one which is free from copyright restrictions, i.e. I took it myself or obtained it from a copyright-free source."Final render must be in Poser, any version.No nudity, implied sexuality, or violence. Lets keep it clean.Please click here for a more descriptive definition and rules page and always remember the TOS. Open to all Renderosity members.Please keep the images to a maximum of 800 pixels by 600 pixels and not more than 150k.Thumbnail size must be 100 X 100 pixels.Challenge starts July 1, 2003 and ends Monday night, July 21st, 2003 at midnight Renderosity time. One image per person. Feel free to post your WIP's in the forum for feedback. The winner picks the next month's theme subject to approval by the challenge managers.

Judging / Voting:

• Voting will take place in the forum in a special thread after the challenge closes and is open to all forum members.
• Voting will begin at close of the challenge, Midnight, July 21st, 2003 and will close midnight, July 24th, 2003. The winners will be posted shortly after the close.
• Voting will be based two ways 1)Artistically (creation of some sort of feeling for the viewer, and 2) Technically (being able to blend Poser into a background and have it look seamless and not a cut an past job.
• In the thread, give 3 points to the best image, 2 points to the next best and 1 point to your third best choice.
• First place winner will be the one with the most points. Second and Third place accordingly.
• First place winner picks the theme for the next month, subject to approval with the challenge managers.
• Announcement of winners will be in the Poser forum as well as on the challenge page.

Artists grant permission to Renderosity for the use of submitted images for an undetermined period of time. This is strictly for posting the image on the front page and within the contest archives. The Artist will remain the intellectual property holder.
