Photography Forum December Challenge Series Theme "In the Air" - Zone II

Zone II is for beginning and intermediate photographers. This can be defined as still learning the basic technical aspects of making good exposures, and/or learning the basic concepts of composition. Their equipment can run the full range of the spectrum from professional gear to point-and-shoot cameras. Please click the link above for complete details on this month's challenge.

Managers: Syyd, Alpha

This one will take a little thinking, and IMHO a state of awareness and readiness to capture those fleeting moments, seconds or split seconds that make something suspended in the air unique. Some examples would be snow, rain, leaves being blown or anything in flight. Aside from any object suspended in the air, this can also include the state of the air itself. For example fog, smoke, pollution etc. The key to this challenge is to look beyond the everyday state of tunnel vision that we all get caught up in, and heighten our awareness of what takes place around us. You are also free to create your own airborn objects, or display. The only special restriction is that whatever you choose to photograph cannot be attached to the ground, a building, any man made structures, trees etc. Of course all the other Monthly Challenge Series rules apply also. You can find these by visiting the News & Views section of the Photography Forum, and clicking on the Contests link.
