Here are the rules :

• The contest is open to all Renderosity members . It ends on the January the 31st, 2002 . Members can submit as many entries as they want .
• The topic of the contest is "Light and Optics". A good occasion to demonstrate Cararra's capabilities for illumination, light effects and special effects ( flares, depth of field, reflections, transparency, refraction, hightlights, light cones, volumetrics... take a pick !)
• The image must be made mostly with Carrara or Raydream Studio . The use of other softwares based on the same technology is permitted ( Coreldream, Infini-D... ). Post render is allowed .
• The image must be still, in .jpg of .gif format, 800x800 pixels maximum, and preferably less than 150KB. Of course, it has to illustrate the theme. Nudity is not allowed.

Judges will be:

• James Bartee (JWB), winner of the October/November contest .
• Brian Retford from Lost Horizon Software, our sponsor .

The winner will receive a copy of the PowerPack v2 by Lost Horizon Software for Carrara, PC or Mac . The PowerPack v2, yet unreleased, will include several plug-ins including a new particles emitter. In accordance with our little tradition, the winner will also be a judge for the next contest, and will have to find its theme.
