The Renderosity Photography Forum 2003 Calendar Contest. The World of Photographic Art... Starting now (December 2001) the Photography Forum will be holding a monthly photo contest to create a calendar for the year 2003. The top three images for each month will be selected by a community vote, and will be posted in a special gallery accessible through the Photography Forum Contest Page. On November 1st through 5th, 2002 these 36 images will be entered into a final vote which will determine each images' placement in the calendar. Based on the final vote, the 1st place winners for each month will have their image published as the main full page image for that month. The 2nd and 3rd place images will published at a smaller size that integrates into the calendar page itself. The printed calendar will be made available for purchase through the Renderosity Store. Proceeds from the sale of this calendar will be donated to a charity, or research foundation to be chosen by the community during the final vote. The Calendar Theme... The theme for the overall calendar is The World of Photographic Art. Our hope is to represent people and regions from all around the world. So... Wherever you live, or wherever you create your photographic images, we want to see them. The theme for each month is simply the month itself. The idea is to interpret, capture and express the essence of each month, and what it means to you. This could be anything from an important historical date to the season of the month to a unique sky or type of lighting that happens on once a year or even the first time you fell in love.
