Scenario: Christmas on the planet of Deron.

It is the year 5058, a lot has changed on earth and yes we are still here. Our technologies are nothing like today, computers are a thing of the past and have been replaced by other REALLY COOL STUFF. The Derillions are the inhabitants of the planet Deron 260 Light years away from earth. Strangely the Derillions celebrate Christmas. Yes I know it silly! But they do!! HE He! The concept of Christmas was brought to there planet by humans over 2000 years ago. The Derillions have the ability to morph into there emotions and they can take on the appearance of any of there surroundings. They can turn themselves into any thing they want. For kicks they like to make fun of us, in the way we celebrate Christmas. When Christmas time comes around they have fun morphing into some pretty strange holiday creatures. Some make themselves into Bio-Mechanical Christmas elfs, while others poke fun at Sant himself. In fact a few year back, I Even seen a huma-santa-megala-monster. And boy was he strange! But my favorite ones are the elf-lo-botliens. Some of them have an amazing ability to look like a combination of Derillion, Human, Animal, Alien robot creatures. They are pretty scary if you ask me.

Yes I know the scenario is pretty strange. It is meant for you to look outside the box and stretch your abilities and talents beyond the norm. And in the end you will have a Christmas time treasure to cherish every season. Get creative with it, have fun and skys the limit.

Technical Guidelines

These guide lines are in place base on possibility and machine-ability of the parts and models themselves.

  1. Must be modeled to SCALE: The figure itself should be modeled based on the scale size of 8 inches tall.
  2. The model, part, or figure must fit within the specified bounding box. The model must fit inside the required build envelop size of 8 inches Tall x 5 inches wide x 3 inches Deep. The model can be smaller but not larger than these dimensions. 8x 5x 3
  3. No object or surface can be any thinner than .100 in diameter or thickness. For example antenna, arm, fingers, hair group, etc. any appendages or external objects.
  4. The figure should be in a relatively neutral pose.
  5. The winner must be willing to make additions, alterations and changes to their model base on the machine-ability of the model itself. Rapid Prototyping is not a magical process and some parts, objects and geometry is simply not suitable for CNC machining.
  6. Any modifications to model must be done at the request of BNT Studios as per machine-ability of the model itself.
  7. It may be necessary to break down the model into undivided parts for machine-ability. The final machined parts may have to be glued together after machining.
