All Entrants Agree, by entering this contest, to allow Renderosity to use their entries for promoting Renderosity Magazine: online, digital, in print, on CD, or in any other medium used to promote the magazine. Also, by submitting your entry into this contest you are granting Renderosity the right to retain your entry in it's archive and to display the the entry within this community to promote Renderosity or future contests held as a part, or extension of this community. Renderosity does not seek ownership of any of the entries! Full copyrights still belong to the individuals submitting their entries into this contest.

Contest Rules:

Contest Theme is: "The Adventure Begins"
Contest begins Sunday January 18th - and - Ends Saturday Feb 21st, 2004 at Noon Renderosity Server Time. (Entries MUST be timestamped by this date/time.). Winners will be announced Feb 29th, 2004 in the Magazine Interact Forum and on Renderosity's Front Page Special Note :Image entry size Must be Exactly [72dpi-RGB-jpg], 640 (width) x 749 (height) pixels. Also include a 100 x 100 pixel thumbnail. Please remember: The image submitted for the online contest system must be in jpg format. Please keep in mind that the New Magazine Format is digital - so no need to create a second "Print Ready Image," as you did for previous cover contests. All members and moderators can enter: with the exception of those members listed as current Magazine Staff, and Admins. Very Important Entries must be new artwork not previously posted online, in your gallery, or anywhere else publicly. Entries must not appear online anywhere else during the contest or until the Contest Winners have been Posted. By entering into the contest, the top four winners are agreeing to not publish their Cover Images (except on their Renderosity Gallery) until 90 days after the Publication of Issue 8. No Nudity (image must be suitable for ALL audiences) Only one image per person allowed (this includes member clones - that is, even if you have multiple accounts, only one entry per PERSON). Post work is allowed. Any software can be used - this includes photographs and/or 2D art. By uploading your image you are agreeing that this is your original work. Also, by uploading your entry you are certifying that all models used in the image are free from print and publication restrictions (Contest winners will be required to sign a statement verifying this.) The Artist will remain the intellectual property holder of their entry images. A cover template is available showing the current cover layout and cover heading concept. The edges of your image will be faded to black, and the "Renderosity" title will appear on the top with shading so make sure you take this into account when you design your entry! The Magazine Cover Template can be downloaded here. Also a Photoshop Version with layers. (A note about this template - this will be placed on top of your image BY US when we get the magazine ready for print so that your image will be 'vignetted' on the sides and top by the dark fades. Please make your entry the entire size of the template and just remember that parts of the top and parts of the sides will be "covered" by this darkened 'frame'.
