All entrants agree, by entering this contest, to allow Renderosity to use their entries for promoting Renderosity and Renderosity Animation Outlet: online, digital, in print, on CD, or in any other medium used to promote the site. Also, by submitting your entry into this contest you are granting Renderosity the right to retain your entry in it's archive and to display the the entry within this community to promote Renderosity or future contests held as a part, or extension of this community. Renderosity does not seek ownership of any of the entries! The Artist will remain the intellectual property holder of their entry images. |
Contest Rules:Contest Theme is: "Get Plugged In!"Contest begins Wednesday, July 21, 2004. Contest ends Wednesday, September 15, 2004 at 12:00p.m. (NOON) Renderosity Server Time. Entries MUST be timestamped by Sept. 15, 2004, 12:00p.m., or cannot be accepted. Judging will take place Sept. 16-23. Votes will be totalled Sept. 24th. Winners to be announced Monday, September 27, 2004 in the Contest forum and on the Renderosity FrontPage. Specifications: To submit a new contest entry you will need: Still image from animation in jpg or gif format. (800x600 or smaller) Thumbnail Image: MUST be included. (100 x 100 pixels in jpg or gif format.) Animation file. (Renderosity will be hosting the files.) Notes section MUST include: file size, length (viewing time), and format. Animation specifications: Audio is optional, but desirable. Animation File Size: 10 meg maximum. Animation Dimensions: no larger than 400 (width) x 400 (height) pixels. Animation Time: between 10 - 60 seconds in duration. Animation formats: DivX, .avi, .mpg or standard .mov. Entries exceeding these size and time specifications, or use other file formats, or that the Renderosity Judging Panel cannot open or play, using standard players, will be disqualified. Contents: Entries must be new artwork not previously posted online, or anywhere else publicly. Entries must not appear online anywhere else during the contest or until the Contest Winners have been Posted. Must comply with Renderosity's Terms of Service. No Nudity (No bare nipples or genitals.) No sexual situations. No extreme or graphic violence. (Cartoon style "slap-stick" okay.) Only one image per person allowed (even if you have multiple accounts, only one entry per PERSON). Any software can be used. By uploading your image you are agreeing that this is your original work. Also, by uploading your entry you are certifying that all models used in the image are free from print and publication restrictions Judging: The top 10 winning entries will be selected by a Judging Panel - The Panel's decision is final. Judging will be based upon the following categories: lighting, texturing, story line, originality, technical merit. Judging will be ranked by category on a scale of 1-10. Judges will perform independent reviews of the submissions. The totals from the judges will be compiled by a non-voting Admin. The cumulative totals of the voting and the winners will be posted Monday, September 27th. The Judging Panel will consist of Renderosity and Sponsor representatives and a cross section of Renderosity members. All members, with the exception of those on the Judging Panel or current Admins, can enter.
