sdvl's Pure Poser contest. SDVL's birthday is on August 17th and he has decided to share the day with everyone. This contest is open to everyone who uses Poser &/or DAZ|Studio and you can create any image you want within Renderosity Terms of Service just so long as you do NO POSTWORK. What can you do with Poser or DAZ|Studio on its own? Many images in the Poser gallery have been heavily postworked, sometimes to the point that I'd rather call it digital painting than rendering! So it's time to show what you can do with just Poser or DAZ|Studio. Twiddle with the lights, use magnets to get the clothing just right, spend some time to get the pose just the way you want it, play with the material settings, and see what the simple Poser or DAZ|Studio render engine can come up with! Here's your chance to show what you can do with the program itself. Are you up to the challenge? Contest will begin on Tuesday, August 17, 2004 at 12:00 am Renderosity server time (they are on CENTRAL Time, CST), and end at 11:59 pm CST on Friday, October 1, 2004. 2. Any subject matter is acceptable as long as your image complies with the Renderosity TOS. 3.NO postwork allowed. The final render must be done in Poser or DAZ|Studio. Maximum image size of 800x800 pixels. 4.You must post your image to this contest page with the title of the image either "SVDL Pure Poser Contest 3/4/PP or DAZ|Studio" or "SVDL Pure Poser Contest P5", depending on the Poser version you use. 5. ONE entry per person ONLY. If you upload additional entries using a clone account ALL your entries will be disqualified. NO collaborations allowed. 6. You are free also to post your contest images in your gallery once the image has been approved to the contest page, but comments and ratings must be DISABLED or your image will be disqualified. Once the contest is over, you are free to post your images to your gallery with comments and ratings ENABLED 7. Work must be NEW and not previously seen in any gallery. 8. This contest is open to everyone. PRIZES: A first, second and third prize will be awarded for the winning images in the Poser 5 category and for the Poser 3/4/PP/DAZ|Studio category, so a total of 6 prizes will be issued. 1st: Poser 5 winner and Poser 3/4/PP or DAZ|Studio winner each receive - $20 gift certificate to the Renderosity Marketplace purchased by sdvl. 2nd: Poser 5 winner and Poser 3/4/PP or DAZ|Studio winner each receive - $10 gift certificate to the Renderosity Marketplace purchased by sdvl. 3rd: Poser 5 winner and Poser 3/4/PP or DAZ|Studio winner each receive - $5 gift certificate to the Renderosity Marketplace purchased by sdvl. JUDGING: The judges will be offline friends of sdvl including a professional digital artist with no ties to the site. Winners will be announced on or before Friday 8, October 2004, at noon, Renderosity time. JUDGING CRITERIA: Entries will be judged both on artistical and technical merit. Judges' decisions are FINAL.
