Write a short script about people trapped in a confined space (elevator, room, coffin or some other). This theme was suggested by our September/October winners garblesnix and Gurami. Submission Guidelines


  • Ignore the 5 line limit on the box when you upload - that limit is only for "image contests"
  • Type directly in the upload box or copy/paste from Notepad (or similar editing program).
  • Copy/Pasting from complex word processing programs, such as MS Word, can change certain characters.
  • If you use MS Word: Copy/Paste from Word into Notepad, then Copy/Paste into the contest upload box.
  • Entries should NOT exceed 15,000 Characters.
  • Do not insert html formating

  • Rename the image: thumb.jpg or main.jpg

Contest Rules:

  • Challenge Theme - a short script about people trapped in a confined space. Only one entry per member. Enter your story as if it were a scene from a screenplay (a movie, or a television show). If you need some guidance as to format, please see the thread at http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?Form.ShowMessage=2007614.
  • Contest begins November 15th and ends December 20th at 00:01 Renderosity Server Time. (Entries MUST be timestamped by the contest ending date/time.)
  • All members and moderators can enter except for the Challenge Managers.
  • No scenes depicting sexual or extreme violence - entries must be suitable for all audiences and abide by Renderosity's Terms of Service. This includes language.
  • Only one entry per member allowed (this includes member clones - that is, even if you have multiple accounts, only one entry per PERSON).
  • Observe the 15,000 character limit.
  • By uploading your scene, you are agreeing that this is your original work.
  • Authors will remain the intellectual property holder of their entries.



Judging / Voting: The Official Voting Thread
  • Voting will take place in the Writers' Forum in a special thread after the challenge closes and is open to all Renderosity members.
  • Only votes appearing within the Writers' Forum Thread will be counted!
  • Voting will begin at close of the challenge and will be open until December 29, 2004 at 8PM Renderosity time.
  • First place winner picks the next challenge theme, subject to approval from the challenge manager(s).
  • Announcement of winners will be in the Writers' Forum.



Voting Rules
  • The winners will be posted the day after the close of voting.
  • When the voting thread is posted assign points in the following manner:
    • 3 points to the best story,
      2 points to the next best
      1 point to your third best choice.
  • First place winner will be the one with the most points. Second and Third place accordingly.



Artists grant permission to Renderosity for the use of submitted stories/poems/images for an undetermined period of time. This is strictly for posting the image on the front page and within the contest archives. The Artist will remain the intellectual property holder.
