CONTEST THEME:
You are presented with these lines from a poem by T. Hood. Your
challenge, to visually interpret the poetic lines into a visual
expression.

This contest is meant to be challenging and a way to showcase your
best 2D efforts, but most importantly it is meant to be FUN!
Imagine what this poem suggests to you, then begin your work and

ENTRY RULES: Entry is open to all Renderosity members except staff.
One entry allowed per person. Entries must not have been publically
displayed prior to entering this contest. This is a 2D graphic arts
contest; use of 3D software/rendering is not permitted. Entries
must relate to the given Contest Theme (see above). Submitted image
files must be no larger than 700 pixels in either direction and be
in JPG or GIF format. You may wish to initially create your image
in a larger format (say 2400 pixels)
in case it appears in
print! The image you post for the contest
must be no larger
than 700 pixels however, so if it is initially created at a larger
size, please reduce it to the appropriate dimensions for entry.
Entries must also respect the TOS of this community, specifically:
- No Rape. - No Torture. - No Sexual acts. - No Physical arousal. -
No Genital contact with ANY object, other than sitting or clothing.
- No depictions of young humanoid characters in erotic, seductive,
provocative poses or context. Artists grant permission to
Renderosity for the use of submitted images for an undetermined
period of time. The Artist will remain the intellectual property
holder of his/her work. Any entry which falls outside these rules
will be ineligible. Any attempt to circumvent these rules may
result in the suspension of future contest entry priviliges.
DURATION: Entries will be accepted from June 17th to July 16th
2002
Current status: Entering is now
closed. VOTING: At the close
of the contest, all Renderosity members will be given one week in
which to review the entries and to place a vote for their favorite
entry. JUDGING: The top 20% of entries from the member vote will be
presented to a panel of five judges who will have one week to award
points to each finals image. Winners will be determined by the
highest accumulation of judges' points. Judge points will be based
on five criteria for each finals image: 1 - composition 2 -
expression of theme 3 - artistic merit/technique 4 - originality 5
- effort/excellence Winners will be announced on August 1st 2002.
