A new planet is discovered.
It's a completely gaseous planet similar to Jupiter, however it is teeming with life! Including a technologically advanced and space faring race.
Create a portrait of an interstellar visitor from that planet.

Hello and welcome to the first Renderositys Lightwave Contest. This contest is presented to you in a very important moment of the lightwave forum, where the community is growing and all members are very dedicated to discover and learn new techniques. Newtek has just released the 7.5 version of lightwave with some great new features and all the forum is showing some outstanding WIPs and some stunning images (not to mention the skills improvement image after image).

The contests theme is very wide in possibilities.
It covers organic and non-organic modeling cos you can show the flesh of the alien or a space suit. Also, the alien doesnt has to have a body!!! he can be just cosmic matter!!!! You name it!!

We are looking for creativity first, but all aspects of the process will be taking into consideration. We will be looking the way you lighting, the way you texturing , the way you model and the way you put it all together.

This is a great opportunitty to improve your skills and to have a great time!!!!!!!

Prize:

$15 dollar plugin BANDSLICE from m2e studios

Rules:

• All images must be created in Lightwave from scratch.
• No public meshes, light setups, surfaces or surface creators softwares
  allowed.(public TEXTURES are OK).
• No post work allowed!!
• Non -commercial plugins allowed (lets make it fair to all artists)
• Only one entry per artist.
• All entries must be a .jpg format and with a size between 640x480 to 800x600.
• The challenge starts today 06.17.2002 and ends 07.17.2002

A team of judges will decide the winner.
The winner will be announced on 07.21.2002
All entries that do not fall within the rules will be disregarded.

*Artists give permission to Renderosity for the use of the images for an undetermined period of time. The Artist will remain the intellectual property holder.
