Welcome to the Photography Forum's Challenge Series for June. Urban Nature... Nature: the forces and processes collectively that control the phenomena of the physical world independently of human volition or intervention, sometimes personified as a woman called Mother Nature. Throughout or history humans have built cities, towns, villages etc. wherever it has suited our needs. Some have done well at integrating nature into their design, while others have failed miserably. However, nature still survives even in the depths of today's most desolate urban jungles. The challenge this month is to find and capture nature in an urban area in a manner that portrays the dichotomy between human intervention and the natural forces and/or elements that survive (and sometimes flourish) despite our volition. How you portray this is entirely up to you. Entries will be accepted until midnight July 5th, 2002 GMT. Voting will begin on July 7th, 2002. Please check before the voting begins to make sure your entry has been approved and is posted. For Challenge Series Rules and Guide lines, please read below. • All entries must be comprised of original photographic images created by the entrant.
• Post work in any photo editing and/or paint program is acceptable and encouraged... However, the use of royalty free images, or the addition of characters and/or objects created in a modeling program is not. *This is a photography contest* :)
• All images should be uploaded in JPEG format at a resolution of 72 Pixels Per Inch. Images should be less than 200 KB in file size.
• Images for each contest should be photographed after the entry start date and before the finish date.
• A limit of one entry per contestant.
• Images that do not conform to the Renderosity TOS will be deemed ineligible and deleted.

Challenge Series Entry Guidelines....

• Zone I is for advanced intermediate, expert and professional photographers. People who post to this level are usually experienced photographers. They are shooting with prosumer, or better cameras, and generally have a solid understanding and working knowledge of the basics of photography.
• Zone II is for beginning and intermediate photographers. This can be defined as still learning the basic technical aspects of making good exposures, and/or learning the basic concepts of composition. Their equipment can run the full range of the spectrum from professional gear to point-and-shoot cameras.
