For this contest entry, I was inspired by the two things that make Christmas magical to me. A well-lit and decorated Christmas tree, and Christmas cards from friends, so I combined these ideas into a Christmas card showing a brightly lit and decorated Christmas tree. I used Daz Studio 4.5 Pro, Reality/LuxRender, and Photoshop Elements 10. I spent 7 hours working on it in Daz Studio, 66 hours rendering and fiddling with light levels while it rendered, and an hour in Photoshop Elements doing postwork.
