Whats is the real magic for everyone? I think that its the surprise when you open that present at Xmas night, and it looks like something magical happened in that moment and fill our hearts with love. The idea was to show a surprise moment, and let everyone imagination guess what is inside the box. So this is the magic on Xmas. This image took about 4 days to get done. The first day was dedicated to think about what is magic in Xmas, so a long search in Google showed to me some ideas. The first draft only have the little girl in it, this was in the second day, when she was rendered in Carrara. After get all layers done I take it to HitFilm Ultimate for postwork. I remebered a video about what image means to J. J. Abrams and like the idea to add a lot of lens flare! After that, in the third day, I added the particles and the grade effect to image to a more warm color. The last day I took time to understand what was missing in it, and after a lot of search again about Xmas and gifts, I decided to add the window and the last one was the small fairy, also rendered in Carrara using Toon Aiko 3. The fany thing was that the first idea for the fairy as a lot of them leaving the box as stars and silhouettes, but ended with this less subtle character outside the window.
