When I saw the theme for this contest I instantly thought of the phoenix rising from the ashes...reborn! Dawn has begun a new era without the aide of Genesis. My rendering depicts her rising from the dying flames, in a remote mountain range, unleashing her on the world. I spent a week struggling with the actual scene and four days putting it all together. I rendered it in DAZ Studio and finished it off in Paint Shop Pro X5. The background is my own picture taken in the mountains of Idaho a few years ago.
