A simple portrait of Dawn rendered in Poser 9, no postwork. My idea was to use just the free Dawn Base package, but to try to make her look a bit different. I wanted my picture to be like a simple snapshot of an ordinary moment. I imagine that it's a crisp, clear winter's morning and she's taking a walk along the beach with her boyfriend. They stop for a while and gaze out to sea. He turns to look at her as she gently pulls her hair back from her eyes. In his eyes she's the most beautiful girl in the world! Because the only clothing in the base package (Dawn's String Bikini) didn't fit my idea I found another freebie (Dawn's April Dress from EvilInnocence) to use instead. I made the actual ponytail part of Dawn's Glam Ponytail Hair invisible, and I used Dawn's basic skin textures with the SSS shader. I used a couple of mouth, eye and expressions morphs from Dawn Base to avoid the default blank expression I made quite a few changes to her skin, hair, eye, and dress settings in the Material Room. And I used a lighting setup and simple background of my own that I had created for a previous image. It took less than an hour to pose Dawn, set up the lighting and textures, and do some test renders. The first full size render took 6 hours and I was very pleased and surprised by the result because it captured my idea perfectly! I decided not to change anything, so here she is.
