I used DAZ Studio for the rendering and Adobe Photoshop for the placement and graphics. I was inspired by both H. P. Lovecraft's writing as well as B-grade horror movies from the past. The entire composition took between 2-3 hours to build, render and finish. I decided on H. P. Lovecraft's mythos because it's all about a creeping sense of madness and the slithering things in the dark, which felt like the perfect fit for 'something wicked this way comes'. I also thought the B-movie poster idea was a fun new way to present the concept that I'd never attempted before.
