Entry #6

My inspiration is a picture of the meanest stray cat my husband and I have ever rescued. He looked like a living skeleton when we rescued him; he had been thrown away in a parking lot and didn't have access to any food, we captured him and took him home with us. He would literally lounge at you with teeth and paws ready to attack. My poor huband was always bloody from the bites and sharp claws that Stewart would inflict on him at feeding time. Stewart had the loudest spitting sound I have ever heard, he drew blood without provocation, poor thing had been much abused in his little life. I really thought he would not be able to adapt to our family, but a year later, he just up and sat next to me at the computer and put his tail on my arm, I didn't flinch, even though I was scared out of my mind, I just kept typing, and he watched me very closely. Then I got up went into the living room and he followed me and started rubbing against my legs, and my husband urged me to pet him and so I dared to touch Stewart. He allowed me to pet him and seemed to enjoy it. He was ours from that moment on, the greatest cat there ever was. It took me an hour in Photohop CS3 to adjust the hue and saturation, brightness, add cob web, fog, Photo Filter, gradient, gray fill. Stewart was really a very scary cat (as you can see from the photo) when we first adopted him as a stray but a year later he was all ours and a such a love! He learned to trust and love again.
