Stocking Full of Love

The first gift of Christmas was a child and that is what inspired me with this one.  A neighbor asked me to come over to take some photos of her baby last year at Christmas, ideal for this year's theme. What better way to pose her but in one of my custom made Christmas Stockings. Made with crushed velvet and vintage trims and buttons this stocking fit little Charlie like it was made for her. It is a pleasure to photograph children and babies are the best.  My photo session over at my neighbors house was about a half hour.  Setting wasn't ideal as this was a last minute thing so I was creative with the processing of this special photo.  Starting out in Lightroom for basic processing, then I took it into Photoshop to camouflage the background by using my version of a watercolor effect. I then added a watercolor frame in Filter Forge and here she is.  All in all, maybe about 6 hours on and of playing with different techniques until I came up with one that I was happy with.
