What's the scariest thing you can think of ?

Well, one might say their mother-in-law coming for a visit, but I happen to favor Satan's top general, the demon king of the Abyss, Abaddon.

References to the demon Abaddon occur frequently in pop culture novels, and TV series such as Supernatural, Torchwood, Lost, and Sleepy Hollow. They all seem to have that air of the unexplained, spooky mystery as their subject matter. 

I went with a more current interpretation from the series Supernatural where Abaddon is represented as female. Although, that might just be the meat suit the demon happens to be inhabiting at the time. 

History and Background

 At the beginning of the end of days the angles will sound seven trumpets. Each trumpet signals the coming of a new judgment on the people of earth. When the fifth angel blows his trumpet, the gate of the Abyss will open, and a demonic hoard will rise out of it with the power to torture the living souls men on earth. The gate keeper of the Abyss and ruler of the demon hoard that holds them at bay or unleashes them upon the earth is Abaddon.  In Hebrew, the name “Abaddon” means “place of destruction”; in Greek Abaddon is “Apollyon” that literally means “The Destroyer.”
