This image was created with archival ink and pencil on paper as a bit of an exercise in line-work. As soon as I read the theme for this years Holiday contest this idea popped into my head, though it became much more detailed as I drew. It developed fairly naturally and I gave myself the freedom to play with it, drawing directly with the ink without a base pencil sketch as a guide ( though I did bring some pencil in at the end to soften some lines). I worked on this for several hours a day for about five days, which works out to around 20 hours or so from start to finish.
