Entry #107

Halloween is my favorite holiday so I have been watching videos of people recount their encounters with unknown creatures. When I saw this years contest topic, I was inspired by those stories. So I chose "Ghoul" and made a custom morph for G2Male and hand painted the Ghouls skin. I also created the slime/slobber dripping from the Ghouls mouth, although in the final image you can't see it very well unless you zoom in. All together it took about 2 weeks to perfect the Ghoul. The girl only took a day. The background, however, took another week simply due to the fact that the grass is geometry and I had to place all the clumps of grass individually, as well as the trees and other elements. It took 8 hours to render.

Ghoul Interrupted:

On a cold and stormy October night, a teenage girl is walking home from a friends house. Already past her curfew, she decides to take a short-cut through an old abandoned cemetery. It is extremely dark in the cemetery so she pulls out her cellphone and uses it as a light. As she makes her way through the cemetery she hears rustling and notices movement in her peripheral vision. She turns and sees a very large, hairless dog-like creature stalking toward her through the overgrown grass. She let's out a horrified scream and freezes as this creature starts to snarl and move closer to her. She drops her phone and runs as fast as her feet will carry her to her house. The next day she hesitantly goes back to retrieve her phone and is shocked to find her saliva-doused phone with the screen cracked beyond repair.
