I used Daz3d for the scene, and Clip Studio Paint Pro for the thumbnail creation and minor post work.

For inspiration, I just thought of something that you wouldn't expect a creature to do while in your house. Two creatures (one of them being clumsy) sitting in chairs having a drink seemed to be unexpected.

It took about three days to complete, about a total of eight hours including render times.

Note: This was done with a single rendered layer. Post work was done for the background layer.
