- I don't want it to sound trite, but I believe that a good picture is worth a thousand words. Every good picture (of any kind) should have a story or maybe that intriguing facet that forces the viewer to spend even a little while longer gazing at the picture and forcing her/him to ponder, "Hey, what's that over there?"
- That at least is the inspiration and intent that led me to create this picture. I would like you, the viewer, to look at this and wonder something like: "What's the point of having her sitting there?", "Why are her hands shackled but not her feet?", "What's with all those foggy mirrors and annoying candles?", "Who exactly is she supposed to be looking at?", "Is she scared or frightened or nervous or what exactly is creeping her out here so much? So on and so forth.
- But since it's Halloween themed, this picture doesn't really look that scary with her crouched over here in the middle of who knows where in such a filthy state. Yep, that's purposeful. Because I believe that more often than not, what can scare the living hell out of us is not what lies directly in front of our eyes. But it is the ghost lights which burn dark, just at the periphery in our field of sight.
