I decided to create my image exploring the ghosts of past Christmas traditions that are still with us today. I was inspired by the many depictions and tales surrounding Krampus. Krampus is thought to pre-date Christianity, an Alpine tradition. The opposite of Father Christmas, Krampus punished children who were naughty during the Christmas season.

I used Garibaldi Express for the first time in this image to create the head, lower face, neck and body hair on the character. Many thanks to futurebiscuit for making it available for free. The mustache and upper goatee are by AprilYSH for Genesis, many thanks to her too.
