Most young magicians are inclined to make mistakes as they learn the different mixtures and incantations to be used for the new spells they learn. In the University they are encouraged to use protective eyewear in their classes. Most of the time the mistakes are minor, but just occasionally the wrong word or ingredient or a mistake over quantities or wand-waving can lead to spectacular and unexpected results.
