This is a 2D picture done with charcoal on paper. It is a silverback gorilla I was lucky enough to see in Uganda, and I really wanted to try and capture the majestic, strong yet gentle feeling of him, moving through the undergrowth and allowing a glimpse briefly before disappearing again.
