This ofrenda was created to honor my grandpa, Ted, who passed from COVID a few days ago, and my grandma who passed last year.  It includes a sugar skull with marigolds, his name, and flourishes.  He was an avid gardener and world traveler, so both are included in the symbolism here.  The food is some grapes, a cube of fudge, and cookies (homemade and store-bought).  Other items included are a bushel of apples, curly willow branches with lights, a globe, a camera (he was an audio/video instructor and a war cameraman), a poppy (he was a major in the army during WWII and during the Korean War), a beaker & stand (he was a science teacher), a cross because he had recently become a Christian, and a photo of him and Grandma from the 1980s from their retirement party.
