Bunnies under the Mistletoe

“It’s silly we hang this up every year. Nobody even uses it,” Molly commented as she looked up at the mistletoe nailed on the wall.

“It’s a tradition though! It’s for couples to kiss underneath to show their loooove,” her roommate Josie replied.

“What couples?” Molly muttered under her breath, “It’s just us two here.”

“Not quite!” Josie replied, picking up her rabbit Jasper, “There’s Jasper and Penny here.” A smile played on Molly’s lips.

“I know! Why don’t we get Penny and Jasper under the mistletoe?” Molly asked as she picked up her own rabbit Penny.

“Let’s do it!” Josie cried and ran over to the mistletoe. Molly laughed and followed with Penny. They both extended their rabbits out so they’d be under the mistletoe together. Jasper and Penny just stared at each other.

“Oh well, maybe next year,” Josie laughed.

Inspiration: Spending time with friends, both furry and non-furry alike during the holidays, and the tradition of kissing under the mistletoe.
