In a sacred grove turned landfill turned municipal park at the turn of another decade, Dimit (demigod of things that end just when they should) awaits Linger (spirit of things that remain beyond their time). The hour was late, but Dimit longed to exchange stories of civilizations, ideas, people, memes, and so on concluded and prolonged. Linger was ill-tempered of late and ditched as often as she showed.
A passing child saw Dimit (because children are stupid and don't yet know what they shouldn't be able to see) and asked what he was. Upon hearing his answer, the child questioned why a demigod was so small to which Dimit replied, "Somethings aren't as big as they are important."

Inspiration: I ran across this detailed model of a skull, and the idea of this little demigod began to form in my head. The humor and quirky, often dark aesthetic of Burton and Gaiman as usual influenced the final story and visual.
