"Happy Memories" As I stare forth into the bright yellow light that awaits me ahead, I think not of the pain and suffering I have experienced in my life, But the happy and memorable moments that have occurred. I think of the Christmas's I had enjoyed so much as a child, My friends that have been with me since my childhood, And the feelings of fulfillment that I had felt when I was around them. I think of my children saying their first words, And the immense feelings of happiness that I had experienced watching them grow, Becoming more mature and intelligent with each passing day. Gone are the sad memories of when my parents passed away, Gone are the moments in my life when I felt like the world had come to an end, Gone are the feelings of anger, pain, and devastation that I had encountered. As I approach the yellow light these final thoughts come into my mind. Life itself is a quest, a journey, to find fulfillment and enjoyment, And death is but the next part of that journey.
