Thanks for all the encouragment, glad it wasn't wasted :) BTW it took me sevral tries to get the hoodoo above, so pratice practice practice. :) Getting used to using the terrain editor takes time. The reason I said use minimums was so you could get smooth transitions instead of flat cutoffs. You can always hold the brush in place longer to get more effect but it's very hard to correct if you use too much.
