I totally don't understand, the only thing I can think of is your model is not centered or too small to read or maybe to large and it is overhead on the y axis, I know you said nothing is reading, but it is a shot, and maybe try this - can you convert your model to a phi file and then try to convert the phi file, see if poser sees it then.
