I don't think it will show up in a credit card report in this case. usually the way credit card processing works (for most online stuff) is: 1) they check to see if you have the money, and put a hold on your account (authorization) 2) they check to make sure your submitted information matches 3) they capture the funds if step 2 doesn't work, you could have an erroneous authorization which will drop off after 2 days
